The Toby Experiment (CULTURAL DISSONANCE)

The Toby Experiment (CULTURAL DISSONANCE) from Gabriel Sunday on Vimeo.

Most Americans between the age of 18-25 spend 75 Hours a week consumed with media, if not more. Toby is 19, a fairly insane artist, obsessed with politics and despises every form of popular media (besides Synechdoche, Banksy and most Harmony Korine films) He loves to rant, and has been heavily involved in the leftist anti- Nazi movement in Sweden. The Experiment: lock Toby in a room for one week. He should not sleep (he usually doesn’t). He can only eat Top Ramen, and consume trash mags, Disney Channel/TMZ/MTV, video games and the Internet. (only gossip sites) Toby is a born “Self-Documentarian”, and rolls a camera on himself most days just for kicks. In the claustrophobic media hole, Toby discovers creating art is the way to be happy while fighting the media overload we all face.
